Early morning gunshots in Mukilteo lead to arrest

MUKILTEO — Gunshots early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a suspect.

Mukilteo police responded shortly after 4 a.m. to multiple reports of gunshots in the 9400 block of 48th Place W. They found bullet casings and damage to a nearby apartment building, but no injuries were reported.

Detectives learned the shots were related to a domestic violence incident, according to the Mukilteo Police Department. A suspect was taken into custody for an investigation that involves other law enforcement agencies.

The Mukilteo Police Department said there there was no further threat to the community.
