Pedestrian, 37, identified in Christmas morning crash on Evergreen Way

EVERETT — A pedestrian killed early Christmas morning on Evergreen Way has been identified.

Around 2 a.m., Kyle Reed, 37, of Lewis County, was crossing Evergreen Way in the 8600 block, said Everett police officer Ora Hamel. A 29-year-old driver going north on Evergreen hit Reed, who was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead.

After the crash, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. He showed no signs of impairment, Hamel said.
