Electrical issue may have caused kitchen fire at Everett home

EVERETT — No one was injured in a house fire early Saturday morning.

One of the residents called 911 to report a fire in the kitchen that was spreading in their home in the 5000 block of 27th Avenue W, off of Mukilteo Boulevard. Firefighters responded to the blaze around 2:15 a.m. and extinguished the blaze.

An electrical issue related to the microwave may have caused the fire, which was under investigation.
