MILL CREEK — A house fire in Mill Creek early Friday morning displaced five people, fire officials said.

Around 3 a.m., the fire broke out in the 4300 block of 135th Place SE. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get it under control, according to South County Fire. No one was home at the time, so there were no injuries.

The five displaced residents were being assisted by the Red Cross, according to the fire department.

Officials were investigating the cause Friday. Several hot spots in the home’s interior made it difficult to enter the home to fully investigate, spokesperson Leslie Hynes said.
