EVERETT — While the West Coast isn’t going to experience temperatures in the negative double-digits like our Midwestern friends, it’s a good idea to bundle up this weekend in Snohomish County.
The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Friday night, with a forecasted low of 29 degrees and similar forecasts for Saturday and Sunday nights.
“We’ll have low temperatures into the mid-20s, both of those nights in the Everett area, obviously warmer closer to the water, but the farther you go, the cooler it’ll be,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Logan Howard.
Sunny daytime highs are expected around the mid-40s, with temperatures slowly rising as next week rolls around.
“Our next chance for precipitation isn’t really going to be until potentially Tuesday into Wednesday,” Howard said.
The streak of atypically dry weather is currently at 11 days.
This streak is the ninth time the Seattle area has had a 10-day or more dry streak in January since records started at Seattle-Tacoma airport in 1945, according to the National Weather Service.
The last time Seattle had a 10-plus-day dry streak was in January 2025 when the streak hit 13 days from January 17-29. Before last year, the last time was January 11-22 of 2013.
