Shorewood 2, Archbishop Murphy 1

SHORELINE — The Stormrays (9-3 overall, 6-0 league) outlasted the Wildcats (5-7, 3-5) in a pitcher’s duel. Joe Frye allowed one earned run in four innings for four hits and six Ks for Shorewood, while A-M’s Cooper Thompson pitched all six possible innings for nine Ks and three hits to go with two earned runs.

Max Rojas closed for Shorewood, pitching three shutout innings with three Ks and three hits allowed. Lukas Wanke and Danny Morgan scored the runs for Shorewood while Cooper Thompson brought Tim Thomas home for A-M’s lone run.

Non-league

Monroe 4, West Valley (Spokane) 1

SPOKANE — Maddox Bingham pitched a complete-game gem for Monroe (5-3), striking out eight hitters while allowing three hits and no earned runs to go with one walk. AJ Welch followed up a 4-for-4 game on Tuesday with a 3-for-3 game on Wednesday with a run and an RBI. Welch also had one of the four Monroe stolen bases.

King’s 4, Charles Wright Academy 3 (8)

TACOMA — John Bjella’s eighth-inning single ended up bringing in the winning run for the Knights (7-2) on the road. Nate Echelbarger (run) had the game’s only extra-base hit on a double in the sixth while Kevan McGeever (run, RBI) stole two bases for King’s.

Glacier Peak 13, Meadowdale 1 (5)

LYNNWOOD — The Grizzlies (9-3) went 13-for-29 to run-rule the Mavericks (3-7). Kaleb Bishop (4-for-4, run) and Jake Doman (2 runs) each brought home three runs for GP while Lucas Keller (3-for-3, RBI), Emmett Brown and Brody Monica (RBI) each scored twice. On the mound, JW Grose went 4.1 innings to give up four hits and no earned runs, along with six Ks. Kealoha Kepo’o-Sabate (2-for-2) scored Meadowdale’s only run.

Mount Vernon 15, Everett 3 (6)

EVERETT — A 12-run sixth inning from the Bulldogs doomed the Seagulls (4-8). Conor Veals (1-for-2, 2 RBI) and Owen Brunni (1-for-2, run) each doubled for Everett.
