Donate: Santa needs bike storage space
Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop seeks a garage, warehouse space or other storage area for the next several months. Volunteers need a place they can store more than 100 bicycles that will be given to disadvantaged children in December through Christmas House. The storage area must be accessible with bikes swapped in and out as they are fixed up.

Sew: Doll clothes for Christmas House
Quality Sewing and Vacuum hosts a free Open Sew event to benefit Christmas House, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 10121 Evergreen Way. Christmas House has some 18-inch dolls to benefit local children this coming holiday season, but the dolls lack extra clothes. Sewers are invited to come and help create some doll outfits.
Bring your sewing machine and any supplies you have, such as patterns, fabric, trim, scissors, pins, thread and the like. Or just come and help cut fabric and snip threads. Completed doll outfits also are welcome.
Coffee and treats will be provided.

Enjoy: Tractors and pie at Monroe farm
The Sky Valley Stock and Antique Tractor Club’s annual Tractor Show and Threshing Bee runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sunday at the Frohning farm, 1524-A Tualco Loop Road, Monroe.
The family-friendly event includes tractor-pulling contests, threshing, a fast start race, food vendors, pie, root beer floats, and lots of kids activities. General admission is $7; kids under age 12 are free.

Learn: Model airplanes take to skies
The Barnyard Buzzards Model Airplane Club hosts a National Model Aviation Day open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Camp Edward, 25821 Monroe Camp Road, Snohomish.
Model aircraft of all kinds will be flying. Find free introductory flights. Free food, too. Donations will be accepted for the Sky Valley Food Bank.

Praise: Good dog tests at Mutt Strut
An American Kennel Club obedience test will again be part of the offerings at Mutt Strut on Saturday at Everett’s Langus Riverfront Park, 400 Smith Island Road.
The 20-minute “Canine Good Citizen” tests are offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dogs that pass the 10-step test receive a certificate of completion and ribbon. Dogs participating in the testing must be on a leash; and food, treats, toys and special training collars are not permitted.
Tests are funded by the Snohomish County Animal Benefit Bequest Fund. Tax-deductible donations are welcome and may be sent to the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, attn: Animal Benefit Bequest Fund, M/S 306, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, WA 98201.

Scrub: Dog wash benefits CASA
The Camano Animal Shelter Association’s 10th annual Dog Wash runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 at the corner of Can Ku Road and East Camano Drive on Camano Island.
Dog washes are $8 to $12, depending on the animal’s size. For an additional fee, dogs also can get nail clipping by professional groomers. Freshly cleaned dogs are sent home with a free bandana.
The CASA Dog Wash is one of the nonprofit’s largest annual fundraisers. T-shirts and music also will be available for sale at the event.
