Report: Airbus topped 2011 delivery target

Airbus beat its own goal for aircraft deliveries last year, reports Reuters.
The European jetmaker delivered more than 530 planes in 2011 having said it planned to hand over 520 to 530 aircraft for the year. Airbus won’t confirm the report, saying it will report its 2011 delivery total on Jan. 17.
Boeing will report its 2011 deliveries this morning, but the Chicago-based company is expected to trail Airbus in deliveries for the ninth straight year.
