Nominate alumni

Nominations are being accepted for the annual Granite Falls High School Alumni Hall of Fame inductees.

Nominations are due by Jan. 14 to Debbie Lindahl, 1401 100th St. NE, Granite Falls, WA 98252.

Nomination forms are available at www.gfalls.wednet.edu or by calling Granite Falls High School.

One woman and one man will be honored at a basketball game Feb. 4.

The Alumni Hall of Fame was established in 1994 to honor past graduates who were active in school activities and have gone on to become positive role models.

Library board opening: There’s an open position on the Granite Falls Library Board.

The Library Board consists of five members, each serving a five-year term. The position is to fill a term that expires in February 2016.

The Library Board provides support and advice to the mayor and the City Council on planning, management, use, care and disposition of the library’s property.

The board also advises the Sno-Isle Regional Library System on policies for the development of the library’s collection, the use of the library and the scope and quality of the service provided.

The board meets at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday in February, May, September and November.

The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. Dec. 17. Applications are available at Granite Falls City Hall, 206 S. Granite Ave.
