Scoring change affects the Player of the Week

Published 2:59 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2010

There were three scoring changes from Everett’s 5-2 victory over Vancouver on Saturday that affect Tips goals. They are:

– On Everett’s second goal, scored by Tyler Giebel, the second assist is now credited to Campbell Elynuik instead of Ryan Murray.

– On Everett’s third goal, scored by Scott MacDonald, the second assist is now credited to Rasmus Rissanen instead of Elynuik.

– One Everett’s fourth goal, Kellan Tochkin is now credited with the goal instead of Tyler Maxwell, and Maxwell gets an assist instead of Landon Ferraro.

Normally I don’t post much about scoring changes, but this is noteworthy because Maxwell was named the WHL Player of the Week yesterday, in part, one would think, on the strength of scoring four goals in two games. Oh well, his point total stays the same.

Also, it’s now three days after the fact, but Tochkin can now celebrate a milestone. The changed goal is Tochkin’s 50th in the WHL.
