12th suspicious burning bush fire in Tacoma

TACOMA — A fire that burned a row of bushes near a church appears to be the 12th landscaping arson in Tacoma in about a month.

The fire about 2:30 a.m. today was across the street from the Faith Baptist Church and, like the others, did not damage any buildings.

Police and fire investigators have formed a task force to look for whoever is responsible for setting the fires.
