A scout’s take on Everett’s NHL draft prospects

Michael Remmerde works as a western scout for Red Line Report, and each year before the draft he provides his opinion on all the draft candidates from the WHL. Here’s his take on Everett’s prospects for this year’s draft. He has some interesting observations, and on one player in particular his evaluation goes against the conventional wisdom.
The first round takes place Friday beginning at 4 p.m. and is being televised by Versus. Everett isn’t expected to have anyone drafted on the first day, but I’ve got to be on alert just in case. Therefore, I was considering hosting a live blog during the broadcast. Let me know of you’re interested in joining me to watch the proceedings — and crack wise throughout the coverage.
