MONROE — When a Monroe man came home early Sunday to discover his wife with another man, police allege he grabbed a gun and threatened to kill them both.

The man, 36, called police to report the incident around 1:35 a.m. in the 20400 block of Horizon Way SE, according to a police affidavit.

Officers arrived and the man had a loaded .45-caliber handgun tucked into his waistband.

The man reportedly arrived home, found his wife cheating on him and went to get his weapon.

He allegedly told police, “I would have shot them if they came upstairs,” the report said.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of attempted first-degree assault.
