Stanwood resident graduates from WSU
Niklas Enquist graduated from Washington State University on May 8 with a bachelor of arts degree in Hospitality Business Management.
He is a 2006 graduate of Stanwood High School and the son of Scott and Sue Enquist of Stanwood.
He will begin his career Tuesday with a two-year revenue management trainee position with Starwood Hotels in Atlanta, Ga.
Gold Bar woman on VMI dean’s list
Pvt. 3rd Class Samantha Amenn completed her first year at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va. Amenn was named to the dean’s list and received the Air Force Warrior Spirit Award for leadership. She is a member of the glee club and rugby team.
She is the daughter of Joan and Robert Amenn of Gold Bar.
Everett student a St. John’s grad
Dylan Ronan of Everett participated in the commencement ceremony May 9 at St. John’s University in the St. John’s Abbey Church in Collegeville, Minn. Ronan received a bachelor of arts degree in English.
He is the son of Anne Ronan of Everett.
Everett residents on Portland dean’s list
Three Everett students were recently listed on the 2010 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Portland in Portland, Ore.
Juniors Erin Flotte and Kaitlin Hoban and sophomore Joseph Starzl earned a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for the dean’s list.
Clinton resident a Benedictine graduate
Breanne Mulcahy of Clinton recently graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., on May 15 with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education.
Oak Harbor resident an Excelsior grad
David W. Thomason of Oak Harbor recently earned a bachelor of science degree from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.
Excelsior College is an accredited, private, nonprofit institution that focuses on the needs of working adults.
Everett Rotary honors EvCC student
The Rotary Club of Everett Port Gardner recently honored Everett Community College student Robyn Kelley as the April student of the month.
Kelley is enrolled in the registered nursing program and will earn her degree this spring.
She will continue her education and pursue a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. She hopes to one day be a neonatal nurse practitioner.
During her course work, Kelley traveled to Kenya with a student volunteer team.
The nomination for student of the month was presented by Kim Dotson, associate dean of nursing at Everett Community College.
Everett woman earns master’s degree
Rachel Medema of Everett recently received her master of divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and her master of arts in Christian ethics and social theory from Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif.
She is the daughter of Fay Garrett of Everett and Ed Medema of Mukilteo.
Students donate Math Fair funds
Seventh-grade students at St. Mary Magdalen School in Everett’s annual Math Fair raised funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer.
Students donated money at the fair to take part in math activities and food items.

The Rotary Club of Snohomish presented student-of-the-quarter certificates to 12 students from four schools on May 27 at the Snohomish School District Resource Center:
