Taxes due today
Snohomish County property tax bills for 2010 are due today. That’s when the first half of the payment needs to be postmarked, submitted online or paid in person at the county campus or at any local Frontier Bank branch.
The physical address for the county is 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, and the website is www.snoco.org, where you can find payment information by searching for “treasurer.” The second half of the tax bill is due at the end of October.
Floral art show Sunday in Mill Creek: A Japanese Floral Art show is planned for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Mill Creek City Hall Annex Building, 15720 Main St. in Mill Creek.
The show is free and will feature 30 floral arrangements by local artists.
Learn about Ikebana arrangements made only from fresh plants, flowering trees, evergreens and natural materials.
At 2 p.m., Yoshi Erickson of Mill Creek will demonstrate and explain the principles and techniques used in Japanese flower arranging.
Open house at Camp Killoqua: Families who are thinking about sending kids to summer camp can learn more about Camp Killoqua on Saturday during an open house.
Participants are invited to tour the camp and meet the staff from 2 to 4 p.m.
Camp Killoqua has been operated by Camp Fire USA Snohomish County Council since 1941. The camp is 20 miles northwest of Everett and offers year-round programming focused on youth.
