2.3 earthquake centered near Monroe

MONROE — A small earthquake occurred near Monroe late Sunday.
The 2.3-magnitude quake hit at 11:37 p.m. about 3 miles northeast of Monroe, according to the University of Washington Department of Earth and Space Sciences.
No injuries or damages were reported to Snohomish County Fire District 3, which serves the area.
The earthquake occurred 14 miles below the surface, according to the Department of Earth and Space Sciences.
