Central Washington adds new business program coordinator
Tim Morgan is Central Washington University’s new College of Business Westside Business Program coordinator. He will promote CWU’s College of Business programs throughout Puget Sound to help increase student enrollment at the three Westside Centers. One of those centers is located in Lynnwood. Morgan also teaches sports finance, sports marketing, and general marketing courses for CWU’s College of Business.Verdant honors EdCC board members
Center in Lynnwood to help veterans
The Veterans One-Stop Resource Center has opened in Lynnwood to serve veterans and their families. The center will assist with referrals to Veterans Affairs, medical and employment assistance and career transitions. It is open every Tuesday and the first Wednesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St. SW, Lynnwood.
Lombardi’s holds fundraisers for EvCC
Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants are raising money for Everett Community College student scholarships with Dine Out for Education on March 18 and 19. Both restaurants, in Mill Creek and at the Everett Marina, will donate five percent of all sales to benefit the 2016 Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants Scholarship, providing financial assistance for an EvCC student who wants to work in business or hospitality.
Nominations sought for executive-, entrepreneur-of-the-year award
Nominations are sought to recognize individuals for The Herald Business Journal’s annual executive and entrepreneur of the year. These people should be dedicated private- or public-sector individuals who excel in business, community involvement and support Snohomish County’s economic development. The winners will be honored during the Economic Alliance Snohomish County annual recognition luncheon in May.
