The bantam draft is approaching

The bantam draft is right around the corner. The WHL’s dispersal of rights to 1995-born players takes place next Thursday, and information leading up to the draft is beginning to circulate.
Alan Caldwell is a particularly valuable source regarding prospects, including the bantam draft. He’s already posted articles on his blog regarding the draft order for the first eight rounds and on the top prospects. In past years he’s blogged during the draft, providing information and stats on every player picked.
Everett, based on its 97-point season, picks pretty late. The Tips will pick 18th in the first round, which is the second-latest Everett has ever picked.
It’s also notable that according to Caldwell’s draft chart, Everett doesn’t have many picks in the early-to-mid rounds. The Tips have their first and second rounders, but because of previous trades the Tips don’t pick in the third, fourth, sixth or eighth rounds. Everett has two seventh rounders.
I’ll have further thoughts about Everett’s situation in the days leading up to the draft, and I’ll post links to any mock drafts that become public. I’ll also be providing live updates on draft day with information on each of Everett’s selections.
