Edmonds Classic Car Show
When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
Where: Fountain area, downtown Edmonds.
What: Annual classic car show in downtown Edmonds features 1979 and older stock cars &trucks, muscle cars, modified custom cars and vintage classics with awards, games, prizes, plus a vendors row.
Admission: Free.

Puget Sound Bird Fest
When: Sept. 11-13
Where: Various Edmonds locations.
What: This annual celebration of birds and nature, organized by The City of Edmonds Parks &Recreation and Economic Development Departments, features speakers, presentations, guided walks and field trips to view local bird and wildlife habitat. The Plaza Room in the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St. will be “Birder Central” from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, with exhibits, kids’ activities, and book sales. Register there from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for admittance to lectures and presentations in the Frances Anderson Center next door. Guided walks and field trips on Saturday and Sunday, including a Puget Sound Birding Cruise Saturday morning and a bus trip to Monroe with boxed dinner included Saturday evening to see thousands of Vaux’s Swifts. The featured activity on Sunday will be the self-guided backyard wildlife habitat tours.
