For Immediate Release B&D Entertainment (Sept. 10, 2009)
Steve Dunn, long time Racing Operations Manager and Hall of Fame recipient at Evergreen Speedway, along with former Evergreen Associate Promoter, Announcer and Broadcaster Terry Buell, are pleased to announce an exciting joint business enterprise: B&D Entertainment LLC.
After careful consideration, Dunn and Buell have decided that their overwhelming desire to be involved in offering positive and successful racing promotions for competitors, fans and sponsors alike, preclude them from “sitting on the sidelines watching” as Buell puts it. The success that this duo has found began half a decade ago at Evergreen Speedway. Since then, the two have ambitiously built many successful nights both at Evergreen Speedway and in other venues.
Dunn brings over 30 years of experience along with Buell’s 20 years. Each has expertise in areas that compliment the other. Buell more known for his Sales, Marketing and Announcing is well balanced by Dunn’s vast experience in racing operations, management, scoring and officiating. The network of officials, competitors and sponsors that each have had years to develop, has already been quick to offer generous support to their newest effort.
Their mission statement: “Create a Limited Liability Company with its purpose being to promote Motor Sports Events in and around the Pacific Northwest. Including, but not limited to: “Crash” shows, Stock Car Racing Events, Car Shows, Drifting Events and other specialized Motor Sports activities. Work with the knowledgeable promoters around the Northwest that have a need for the kind of shows offered by B&D Entertainment, along with alternative venues such as; Fairgrounds, Community Festivals, Arena’s and Casino locations.” They both feel strongly that the need to build strong, positive motor sports programs that enjoy success on all levels and build credibility with competitors, fans and businesses is paramount to their success.
Negotiations with both promoters and alternate venues have already begun. Dates are being booked for the 2010 calendars.
