EVERETT – Detectives are investigating to determine what led to a shooting that sent two men to the hospital early this morning.
Deputies were called about 1:40 a.m. to a convenience store parking lot in the intersection of 128th Street SW and Fourth Avenue, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
Witnesses told police two cars pulled into the parking lot. An argument developed between some of the people from different cars, Hover said. One of the men had a gun and reportedly fired a few rounds into the ground. A struggle ensued and two men were shot.
One of the men was shot in his hip and arm, Hover said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The other man was shot in the arm. Medics drove him to an Everett hospital. The men’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The victims are in their early 30s.
The suspect, 25, was arrested at the scene.
