Man shoots self at Everett gun shop

EVERETT — A young man was hospitalized Tuesday evening after he reportedly shot himself at Sam’s Gun Shop.

Deputies were called to the gun shop in the 11700 block of Airport Road about 7:20 p.m., Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The 19-year-old man was in one of the bays when the shooting occurred, she said.

Medics rushed him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition was not known Wednesday afternoon.
