5-year-old who died in car crash named

The 5-year-old boy killed in a car crash Monday was identified as Jesse Gaspar of Gold Bar, Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office said Tuesday.

Jesse’s father was driving through a residential neighborhood when the sport utility vehicle veered off the road and struck a cedar tree in the 44000 block of Fir Road. Medics pronounced the boy dead at the scene. His death was ruled an accident.

The boy’s 3-year-old sister and 27-year-old father were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Both children were sitting in the back seat. Jesse was in a booster seat. His sister was in a child seat.
