Missing Everett man suffers from dementia

EVERETT – Everett police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing man who suffers from dementia.

James W. Hopkins has been missing since about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. He left his house in the 800 block of 89th Street SE for his daily walk. He often walks for a couple of hours. Hopkins, 62, failed to return home.

He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 160 pounds. He has gray and black, thinning hair. He left his house wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, a gray and green baseball cap with black shoes and black sunglasses.

Hopkins is in the early stages of dementia, according to Everett police.

He has been known to walk to the men’s mission in north Everett and to the Albertsons grocery store in the 5100 block of Evergreen Way.

If anyone sees Hopkins or knows of his whereabouts, please call 911.
