Kamiak’s Moon leads Class 4A tourney

Kamiak’s Seo Hee Moon, the 2007 state champion, shot a 69 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco Wednesday to take a two-shot lead into today’s final round of the 4A girls golf state tournament.
Teammate Rachel Choi was in a tie for 14th with a 79. Lewis &Clark had four players among the top 14, making it the favorite to win the team title.
Two of Everett’s four qualifiers made the cut in the 3A tournament at Richland’s Horn Rapids Golf Club. Jody Barhanovich was tied for 11th with an 81. Teammate Stefanie Soelling was tied for 25th with an 84. Everett’s Talex Diede missed the cut by one shot.
Sultan’s Jennifer Lee was tied for fifth, five shots back of the leader with a 78 in the 2A tournament in Yakima.
None of King’s three qualifiers made the cut in the 1A tournament in Richland.
Grace Academy’s Ariell Eneix was eighth in the 1B/2B competition with a 90 in Kennewick. Life Christian’s Kristen Rue has a 12-shot lead after the first round.
