ARLINGTON — Firefighters worked quickly to stop flames consuming a shed from spreading to nearby homes Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to the 23900 block of 27th Avenue NE around 11:35 a.m., North County Fire Battalion Chief Christian Davis said. The burning shed was just five feet away from one of the two nearby homes.
Medics treated two older residents who became dizzy and sick because of stress, Davis said.
A total of six people, all of them older, live in those two homes.
The Snohomish County fire marshal’s office estimated the damage at $5,000, Davis said. Officials on Wednesday night were investigating the cause of the fire.
