Learn to deal with emergencies

Wilson Quist and Dan Wisniewski will talk about how to take advantage of a Family Emergency Response Program sponsored by Dignity Memorial.

The free program is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. in Mukilteo.

In the case of an emergency, an Enrollment Card informs emergency workers that you are a member of the Family Emergency Response Program. It advises them to call the toll-free number listed on your card.

Operators are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.

Historical society to meet Thursday

The Mukilteo Historical Society is planning a general membership meeting for Thursday.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave.

Last year’s volunteers will be recognized for their service and the volunteer calendar for 2009 will be discussed.

The public is invited and refreshments are planned. Call 425-356-2778 for more info.

Corrections

* Emmajo Frazier, 61, of Lynnwood died Nov. 19. Her name was misspelled on page L4 in the Dec. 7 death notices.

* Snohomish County placed a 10-ton weight restriction on a bridge over Swamp Creek on Carter Road near Bothell. The weight of the restriction was too low in a story about a state bridge replacement fund that appeared on Page B1 Sunday.
