Sultan, Gold Bar schools close early

The Sultan School District planned to close schools in Gold Bar and Sultan at 11:30 a.m. today. Parents were being advised they can pick up their children anytime. Limited transportation will be offered. Some bus routes are closed, including along Mann Road, Ben Howard Road, Rice Road and 132nd Street SE and 399th Avenue SE in Gold Bar.
Elementary and middle school students who walk to and from school will need to be checked out by a parent or guardian. An announcement regarding tomorrow’s school schedule will be later this afternoon or early evening.
