Bothell
17 residents appointed to city panels
The Bothell City Council recently appointed 17 people to serve on various city boards, commissions and committees. The people who filled the open positions were chosen after being interviewed and evaluated by City Council members.
Positions were filled on the Landmark Preservation Board, the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, the Library Board, the Parks and Recreation Board, the Planning Commission and the Shorelines Board.

Lake Stevens
Hearing addresses wetland buffers
A public hearing is planned for Monday regarding proposed changes to the city’s rules for building near wetlands and streams.
The meeting is 7 p.m. at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Services Center, 12309 22nd St. NE.
Overall, the proposed rules expand no-building zones around city waterways, but with flexibility built in for using environmentally friendly development methods.
