  • Shawn Redmond and Dan Hu have joined the Bothell-based Aculight Corp., which develops laser technologies. Redmond is senior scientist specializing in high-power laser technology and Hu is senior scientist and project manager for the company’s product line of high-power fiber-optic laser modules. Previously, Redmond was with Northrop Grumman as a staff engineer and Hu was a senior optical engineer for Spectra Physics.

  • Kathy Baker, Stacy Criswell and Jerry Job are set to attend the National Fire Academy in October. Employed by the city of Lynnwood, Baker and Job are fire inspectors and Crissell is a building inspector.

  • Amy Hinchcliffe has joined Sky River Natural Health Center as an acupuncturist. A former medical assistant, Hinchcliffe has a master of science in acupuncture from Seattle’s Bastyr University.   • Camano Marine president Leslie Hawthorne plans to open a second showroom and sales office adjacent to I-5 at exit 212, the Stanwood-Camano Island exit. In addition, Camano Marine plans to open a satellite sales office at Alvarado Marine in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.   • The annual Fisherman’s Tribute Dinner has been rescheduled for February or March.
