Smoking is not allowed on grounds

Published 9:00 pm Monday, April 2, 2007

The other day I brought my kids to play at Pilchuck Elementary. I saw two moms by one of the slides; they started smoking. They did move away a little bit, but smell and smoke went through the whole play area.

It’s bad enough breathing the second-hand smoke – just guess where they put out their butts? In the pea gravel where all the kids are playing. And, of course, they leave them there. That’s what I want my kids playing with. So to those moms, thanks for making our children’s play areas clean.
