Sunday ballot-initiative forum in Shoreline cancelled

Sponsors have canceled the Sunday forum in Shoreline on Initiatives 1355 and 1401.

The event was scheduled for the Richmond Beach Congregational Church about a half-mile south of the Snohomish-King County line.

Initiative 1366 would reduce the state sales-tax rate unless the legislature proposes a constitutional amendment to require a two-thirds legislative vote to raise taxes.

Initiative 1401 would ban the sale of the parts of endangered species.
