Edmonds ferry delayed by woman in water

EDMONDS — An early morning run of the Edmonds-Kingston ferry was delayed Tuesday after reports of a woman in the water.

Edmonds police helped the woman, who reportedly had mental health issues. Snohomish County Fire District 1 also was called.

The woman was in the water near the ferry dock, police reported. She received medical help at a local hospital.
