Arial is very active girl! She will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and no cats in her new home. She will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. Right now Arial does not know any commands but she is very smart and would do very well in obedience training. Any kids in the home should be over 10 years old and be ready to participate in Arial’s training and exercise. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Crawford is a very confident and vocal little spitfire. He will need an active adult home that can keep up with him. He has lived with another small breed dog and done well but will probably chase cats. He likes to hear himself bark so apartment settings will not work for him. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Drake is a sweet boy that is looking for a new home. He will need some leash training as he pulls and is very strong. Drake would like a meet and greet with any dogs that he would live with in his next home. His new home should have no cats or small fluffy dogs as we think he would chase them. Any kids in the house should be over the age of ten due to his pulling and not always aware of where he and others are. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Kyoshi is a handsome guy looking for a calm home. His new home must be adult only and have no cats. Kyoshi likes to visit the dog park but will need a meet and greet with any resident canines. His new home should be respectful of his space and take it slowly until he warms up. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Nala is a very unique girl looking for a forever home. She has lived with other dogs but will need a meet and greet prior to adoption with any resident canines. Any children in the home should be over 10 years old and respectful of her space. Nala knows a few commands but would benefit greatly from positive reinforcement training. She digs when left alone outside. Nala cannot live in an apartment or townhome. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Phoebe is an older girl who is looking for a new home. She is very sweet and loves getting pet. According to her previous owners she does good in the house but also loves spending time outside. She is used to the retired life and always having people around. She would much enjoy going back to that life style. She has lived with all types of animals and does well. This loving girl is an all around superstar. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
