Standoff in Everett closes street

EVERETT — Police closed a section of Walnut Street in north Everett on Thursday night to assist a man in distress.

Officers arrived at the house near Senator Henry M. Jackson Park around 8:30 p.m., Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. Neighbors were told to stay in their homes.

The street was closed for a couple of hours, but has since reopened. No arrests were made.
