Good news for the turkey: A pet turkey in Stanwood had been lost then found. The police department posted on Facebook about a loose but friendly turkey found in the area of 74th Avenue NW on Jan. 6. Later in the day, a woman posted that the turkey was hers. It was a male named Buttercup, and he was returned home safely. Buttercup reportedly ran away when a coyote got into his coop.
