Wright chosen to head CT board: Snohomish County Councilwoman Stephanie Wright was named last week as the new chairwoman of the Community Transit board of directors. Wright, of Lynnwood, represents the southwestern part of the county. She replaces Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring, who will remain on the board. Also Thursday, Stanwood Mayor Leonard Kelley was voted vice chairman by his peers and Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson the board secretary.
The board includes nine elected county and city officials from the transit agency’s service area, as well as a labor representative selected by employee unions. Board members make budget and policy decisions.
