Dog rescued from fire; minimal damage to home near Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A dog was saved and damage to a home north of Lynnwood was minimal Wednesday afternoon.
The incident was reported shortly after 1 p.m. at a two-story house in the 3200 block of 164th Street SW.
No one was home and there were no injuries, Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
Firefighters rescued a dog, she said.
Firefighters from District 1, Lynnwood and Mukilteo were called.
Fire was contained to a wall and was quickly extinguished.
Information about the fire’s cause and an estimated amount of damage were not immediately available.
