Mill Creek woman fatally stabbed; man in police custody

MILL CREEK — A man, 52, was in police custody after his wife was fatally stabbed early Tuesday.

Mill Creek police were called about 4:20 a.m. There were reports of an assault with a weapon at the Heatherwood Apartment complex at 13510 North Creek Drive, city spokeswoman Joni Kirk said.

Officers saw the man in the parking lot with a cut on his hand, Kirk said. His wife was found dead in her apartment.

He was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder.
