LAKE STEVENS — The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate a fatal crash that happened Dec. 22 along Highway 92 near Lake Stevens.
Troopers believe that Lisa Hunt, the 48-year-old Lake Stevens woman who died, was the causing driver. They don’t expect to seek charges against the other driver, a Sedro-Woolley man who was operating a dump truck.
“Nothing appears criminal, but the case is still under investigation.” Sgt. Mark Francis said Friday. Troopers are awaiting the results of autopsy toxicology tests, he said.
Hunt was eastbound when her Toyota Camry struck the guardrail, crossed the center line and collided with the dump truck, the State Patrol reported.
The crash was just outside of town and affected traffic on the highway for hours.
