Take in culture: Join monthly art walks in Edmonds, Everett
Published 1:30 am Friday, March 10, 2017
On the third Thursdays of each month — the next one is March 16 — galleries and other businesses in Edmonds and Everett host art walks.
These pleasant strolls through downtown Everett and Edmonds offer a chance to see new art work, meet gallery owners and rub elbows with artists and art collectors. Sometimes the events include live music, poetry readings and wine tastings.
In Everett, the walk’s participating venues include The Black Lab Gallery, Independent Beer Bar, Port Gardner Bay Winery, Lions Paw Tattoo, Jonn Laurenz barber shop, Artspace Everett Lofts, Clear Image, Sunken Ship Tattoo, Valley Organic Deli, Grow Washington Everett, the Anchor Pub and ReFresh Boutique.
Pick up a map for the Everett Art Walk at Black Lab Gallery, 1618 Hewitt Ave., where owner Isabella Valencia can tell you what’s new. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. March 16. More information is available at everettartwalk.org.
Art Walk Edmonds is from 5 to 8 p.m. March 16. Pick up a map at Gallery North, 401 Main St. More information is at artwalkedmonds.com.

In addition, Cascadia Art Museum stays open until 8 p.m on third Thursdays for the art walk, and is free from 6 to 8 p.m. This month, the art walk offers a chance to see Northwest Social Realism and the American Scene: 1930-1950 before it closes on March 26.
