The String Cheese Incident, one of the major progressive bluegrass and neo-psychedelia jam bands in the country, comes to the Summer Meltdown music festival for two shows during the Aug. 10-13 festival in Darrington. More at summermeltdownfest.com.
The Evergreen State Fair is bringing a number of big acts, but one to consider especially is Joan Jett on Aug. 30. More at www.evergreenfair.org.
And members of the Sultan community and members of the original band Heart are gearing up to revive the Sky River Rock Festival and Lighter Than Air Fair. Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the festival. More at www.skyriverrockfestival.com.
