Woman struck, killed by Amtrak train near Edmonds

EDMONDS — A 41-year-old woman died Sunday evening after being struck by an Amtrak train in north Edmonds.
It happened around 7:10 p.m. at Haines Wharf Park. She was with her husband at the time, Edmonds police Sgt. Shane Hawley said.
The man was not injured, he said.
The train tracks have been shut down while detectives investigate, and were expected to be closed for several hours.
