Everett man arrested following rollover crash on I-5

MARYSVILLE — An Everett man was arrested Monday morning for investigation of vehicular assault after a rollover crash on I-5 sent a passenger to the hospital.

The crash was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. around 88th Street NE.

The car was headed northbound at “a high rate of speed” when the driver lost control and struck the concrete barrier, causing the vehicle to roll over, according to a Washington State Patrol accident memo.

The injured passenger, 18, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. He is from Tacoma, the memo said.

The driver was booked into the Snohomish County Jail. He is being investigated for suspected driving under the influence, troopers reported.
