Panel on addiction: A free panel discussion on addiction is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. The event is part of the “Beyond the Streets” events to raise awareness of the challenges the city is facing with drug abuse and homelessness.
Native culture: An Evening of Native Culture and silent auction to benefit the Skykomish Valley Indian Education program is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at Monroe High School, 17001 Tester Road. Pruning lessons: Nancy Moore, a native plant expert, leads a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Edmonds Wildlife Habitat Native Plant Demonstration Garden at Willow Creek Hatchery, corner of Pine Street and Edmonds Way. More at www.pilchuckaudubon.org or 425-771-8165.
