Traffic woes: Expect backups if you head into Seattle this weekend. The I-5 express lanes will be closed Saturday and Sunday mornings and reopen for northbound traffic at 1:30 p.m. each day. In addition, westbound I-90 will be reduced to one lane starting at 11 p.m. Friday, and eastbound Highway 520 will be closed overnight. Backups are expected to start around 8 a.m. on I-5 south, with slowdowns starting as far north as Snohomish County, the Washington State Department of Transportation warns.
