Edmonds Community College and Sno-Isle Libraries will host a free panel discussion with three local TEDx speakers from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 6 in the Black Box Theatre, 20310 68th Ave. W.
Into genealogy?: The Sno-Isle Genealogical Society seeks a volunteer intern who has computer skills and is interested in history. Garden club meeting: The Snohomish Garden Club meets April 10 for a monthly gathering. Duane Decker-Ihle is scheduled to speak. He is a Snohomish County Master Gardener and co-founder of the Snohomish County Growing Groceries program. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth Street. Celebrate: A retirement ceremony for Lake Stevens fire Battalion Chief Bruce Huston is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. April 15. Huston has served 30 years.
