Paine Field plane fatality victim identified

EVERETT — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died in a small plane crash at Paine Field last week as George E. Luck of Everett.

A single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza F35 crashed shortly after takeoff Wednesday at about 9:16 a.m. near the 11800 block of Mukilteo Speedway.

The plane had two occupants. One, a 72-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

Luck died at the scene. His cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries to the head and chest, and has been ruled an accident.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
