EVERETT — Witnesses told police they heard people arguing before shots rang out in Everett on Friday evening.

A gray Mercedes was driving near 63rd Street SE and Highland Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Someone in the car reportedly shot at another vehicle, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.

Both cars drove off. They were not found when officers searched the area, Snell said. Multiple shell casings were left near the intersection.

Everett police detectives continue to investigate what led up to the gunfire and who was involved.
