LYNNWOOD — An Edmonds man, 18, was arrested in connection with a drug deal that went bad in Lynnwood Friday.
He reportedly tried to steal a bag of marijuana, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The drug deal took place at a home in the 5900 block of 177th Street SW. During the exchange, the suspect allegedly hit another man over the head with a shortened shotgun.
The two would-be customers grabbed the duffel bag and took off. The 19-year-old who had been hit over the head reportedly fired a gun at the two fleeing assailants, striking a 17-year-old in the back.
Police said the suspect drove the teen to the hospital. He is expected to recover.
A search warrant for the suspect’s car turned up a 9mm handgun, a “sawed off” shotgun, bloody clothes and a duffel bag with more than 100 grams of marijuana, according to court documents.
He has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of robbery and assault.
